Classic Pin-Up style

Its been a long time since I have done a post and that is because I became quite busy in life a promotion at my job and a very active two year old to keep me on my toes. I decided though I should try again at this because it makes me happy and relieves stress. So here it goes hope you like it and if you do comment and let me know. Always helps to know you have someone cheering you on.
I did this makeup quite a while ago. I went for the basic soft brown eyes, big lashes, winged liner, and red lip.
Although I don't remember all the products I used I can tell you what I would do to recreate this now.
For a flawless foundation I would use Revlon ColorStay Whipped (150 Buff) this foundation creates a beautiful matte finish to my skin and wears forever and is almost full coverage for me. I do need concealer under the eyes still so I would use my Covergirl and Olay Corrector then go over the top with Maybelline Dark Circle Eraser in Light. I would then use Rimmel Stay Matte Powder in Translucent  to set the under eyes and in my t-zone. My favorites for checks are NYC Sunny Bronzer for contouring and Elf Candid Coral Blush. For highlighted glowy skin I use Wet N Wild Reserve Your Cabana on the tops of the cheekbones and down the nose.
For my eyes I do this look a lot minus liner and lashes. The Naked Palette by Urban Decay is perfect for this look. Prime your eyes with Milani shadow eyes in almond cream. Then apply sin all over the lid and on the brow bone. Define your crease with buck then blend out with naked. On lower lash line take buck and naked again and blend together. Use a jet black eye liner pen like Jordana Fabu Pen to create the perfect wing. Then apply your favorite lashes, I'm pretty sure these are Demi Wispies for Walmart. Then add Jordana Best Lash Extreme in black to bond lashes together and also add to bottom lashes
For lip any blue based red will work but I used Nars Velvet Matte Lip Pencil in Cruella. Which is my favorite at the moment.

Nude lippies

Last but not least nudies!! These are my everyday colors that I rotate throughout the week.
(1st swatch from left) L'Oréal infallible  lipstick in unending kiss
love this color because it lasts and doesn't dry out my lips.
(2nd swatch from left)Wet n wild in just peachy (matte)
This color is amazing but its super drying. I find I like to pair this with a clear gloss.
(3rd and final swatch) Rimmel lasting finish in airy fairy
This is my all time favorite throw in your purse without a mirror lipstick. Love this so much. Literally wore this two months straight when I first got it.
I love theses nudes because they don't look like concealer they are your lips but neutral.

Red lippies

Next are my red lipsticks! I love red lipsticks to death. I would wear it every day if only I could.
(1st Swatch from right) Nars velvet matte lip pencil  in Cruella. This is a dark blue based red. I love this because of the staying power and the fact that it doesn't feather outside your lips. For being a matte it isn't terribly drying either.
(2nd Swatch from right) L'Oréal infallible lipcolor in Beyonces red. This is a bright blue based red. I love the staying power on this but application is tricky and practically not fixable if you go outside the lines. It is horribly drying to the lips and cracks off in uneven patches. The balm is just a pain because you have to reapply so much.
(3rd Swatch from right) Wet n wild stoplight red (matte). This is a bright orange based red. It's a beautiful color but like all wet n wild matte lipsticks its really drying on the lips.
(4th Swatch from right) L'Oréal  infallible in refined ruby. This is deep blue based red with a semi shiny finish. I love this color. It's Judy time is the reason I own this color and I have to say I know why she loves it. It's got beautiful staying power and not at all drying to the lips.
(5th Swatch from right) Rimmel lasting finish  lipstick in temptation. This is another blue based red that is very deep and vampy. (Can we see a trend?) I love this formula it is long wearing and not drying. It also has a bit of gold sparkle they it but nearly undetectable on the lips.

Overall I love blue based red lipstick. L'Oréal hit it out of the park with this one I love love love it.

Pink lippies

Next are the pink lippies.
(Top Swatch) Covergirl jumbo gloss balm  in 215 watermelon trust.
This is a new purchase and I haven't gotten to try it out much. It is a beautiful pink though.
(2nd Swatch from top) Maybelline vivids lipstick in vivid rose
This is a beautiful, bright, vibrant color. The pigmentation is amazing! Love love love it.
(3rd Swatch) L'Oréal shine stain in coral tattoo this is also a new purchase. I wore it once already but it is kinda odd. It's sticky and feels weird on the lips.
(4th Swatch) Mirenesse lip bomb in 4
This is a rich pigmented lip color and I love it. It's thick and stays put for a while. I got the in an ipsy bag and I love it.
Overall my favorites are the maybelline and mirenesse lippies. They are super pigmented and fun to wear.

Revlon lippies

Hey today I just wanted to share my Revlon lippies with yall.
(1st from left) Revlon colorburst lipstick in soft nude- This color is a very pale nude. It almost borders the concealer looking lips which I don't care for personally. This was an impulse YouTube buy and I regret it sadly.
(2nd Swatch)Revlon lip butters in creme brulee This color is a sheer light nude and with it being so sheer I find it easy to wear, just don't over do it. This lip butter feels very hydrating to my very dry lips. Love this nude!
(3rd Swatch)Wild watermelon (le) -This is pinky color leaning towards the red family when built up. I love this color unlike the other lip butters I find this lasts a long time because it almost stains your lips. It also is very build able.
(4th Swatch) Berry smoothie- This is a pinky berry toned color. I love this for everyday I find it extremely easy to wear. I do find this one just doesn't hydrate as well.
(5th Swatch) Sweettart- This is a baby pink when built up. I love this im usually not a baby pink wearer but this when sheer is wearable for .
(Across bottom) Revlon just bitten kissable balm stain in precious-This is a pale pinky nude. This is my only balm stain for a reason I just cannot get into them. It accentuates my dry lips and has a horrible smell. I don't find this stains my lips either.
Overall I love Revlon lip butters!! With so many shades to choose from you can't go wrong.

Mascara routine

Today I'm going to share my mascara routine.
My lash type is very short, thin and sparse. I prefer long, thick, and voluminous lashes. So to achieve this I use two different mascara together.

I first use Jordana best lash extreme in black. I apply a very heavy first application. This mascara gives me incredible volume and decent length. I tend to not worry about clumps to much on this mascara. My next mascara is Maybelline Illegal Jength in black. With this application I try to not only achieve length but separation. This mascara is great for that purpose.

Saturday night movie makeup

Tonight I went for a defined eye, winged liner, and red lips look. I am sorry for the horrible lighting but I only had 30 minutes to get ready and it was the best I could do with the time I had.
Products I used are:
Face: covergirl 3in1 foundation in 810, covergirl and olay simply ageless concealer in 210, nyc sunny bronzer, rimmel stay matte in translucent, physicians formula blush in rose, and hard candy blush in honeymoon for highlight.
Eyes: coastal scents 28 neutral palette two of the lighter matte browns a pale pink a champagne highlight and the dark purpley shimmery brown, maybelline master precise in black, maybelline define a line in black, and jordana best lash extreme in black with maybelline illegal length in black over the top.
Lips: nars velvet matte lip pencil in cruella, clear gloss over the top.
My brushes I use are ecotools, real techniques, elf, and sephora brushes.
